We lost Harold Lloyd Jenkins aka Mr. Conway Twitty.
For a man with 55 #1 hits, I feel he is underrated and never mentioned along with other all time country greats like George Jones, Merle, Waylon, Willie, Dolly, etc.
I never get tired of listening to his music.
Hes a Legend.

He graduated from Tallulah High School in Tallulah, La. and briefly played in the Philadelphia Phillies organization.

The keyboard player in my brother's band dated Conway's daughter and met and hung out with Conway a few times. :CSB:
Also, anybody else notice Danny McBride looks just like Conway this season? Maybe he will do a Conway biopic next, that could be epic.

He is kind of forgotten about. The others you mentioned and if you include Johnny Cash...Those guys lived like rockstars! George Jones (Probably the C&W best singer) personal life was more interesting than his music.
If anybody wants to know about it watch the George and Tammy series on Showtime.

FWIW... Ole' George Jones had 60 #1 singles. Incredible indeed.
