Because Jay doesn’t have the stones to pitch Eyanson again on super short rest like Skip did with his aces

Absolutley he will.

Do you not remember Jump last season?

He literally pitched Eyanson game 1 in case he had to go back to him in a Monday game. He thought this through. He said he felt more comfortable with the idea of Eyanson coming out as a closer than Kade. It's also why he closed Eyanson in Hoover. He wanted to get him that experience.

Can you at least be truthful here.

I am sick and tired of some of you people premelting. There is no reason to melt yet. Just like people bitching about Skenes starting against Tulane. Y'all lost your shite. I didn't even agree with the decision, but I said let's see how it works out before losing our minds.

How about the same?

Good thing Jay pitched Eyanson game one against Little Rock when many didn't want that or else they could be in much worse shape. Right now they are in position to win the Regional.

Why melt already? Good grief.

If we have to bring back one of our 2 ace pitchers to win tomorrow, then we don’t deserve to win.

You're wearin' that bait out. Throw something else.

Yeah, no coach in America would do that.

30 years ago Skip could throw a guy out there who threw 85 and had no hope to play after college. This isn't that. Shut up. These threads are so painful to read.

Skip never did anything that wreckless and stupid. Between a Friday and a Monday you can’t do that, and you know it. In 96 he did bring Yarnall out on a Sunday to pitch the final inning, but no way would Eyanson be able to do much more than that.

Provide examples of college coaches starting a guy after 2 days of rest, in the last 20 years, who isn't going to work construction the day his team gets eliminated.

When did Ben start 2 games in 4 days?

Also, you're talking about something from over 35 years ago. Yeah Cy Young started 50 games in 1892. Who gives a shite. It's not relevant. It's not what the sport is. This is a stupid conversation.

I'll never agree with the idea of determining if a team deserves to win or not given who they play. Whoever wins doing whatever it took to win deserves to win. It's a competition. Do whatever it takes.

Our season comes down to two pitchers who haven’t thrown in a couple weeks

I hope we blow the doors off them and won't need to, but I almost wish it would be close just to see how wrong you might be. Still, I rather LSU win big and avoid all that.

Eyanson can throw maybe 20 pitches, in the absolute worst case scenario, but then you're fricked for next weekend. You do every single conceivable thing possible to not have that happen.

I don't think tomorrows game will be close, personally.
