The list goes on for Israel finding hamas leaders all over the place and killing them. Ukraine finds scientists and generals and kills them.
Does the US have the capability to come up with ideas like these? We caught Saddam and Bin Laden, but wonder what else we have done that’s not published. Or have we not needed to do anything?

No one terrorizes like our terrorist

caught Bin Laden
We had him early on — and let him go. Why? Because ending the hunt too soon would’ve killed the public’s appetite for endless war. Dragging it out kept the fear high, the funding flowing, and the war machine running. It was never just about justice.

US certainly has greater capabilities than either, but considering its massive array of weapons, it usually prefers the hammer rather than the scalpel

Clinton had UBL in the 90s, and said no thank you.

Yes I think it’s a certainty the USA has this capability. However I am equally as certain that the USA does not, at this time, have the will or necessity to execute a plan such as these.
Consider the CIA use of doctors performing a vaccine campaign in Abbottabad to gather DNA to locate Bin Laden…very covert and clever
There are well funded clever folks on our side whose only job is to come up with new ways to kill people.

No, we hand out billions to lobbyists.

Or a combination of both like the R9-X missile.

According to a highly placed congressman and multiple IC whistleblowers Bin Laden was sitting in Iran and Pakistan for the entire war and we knew and could’ve taken him out any time we wanted but the IC left him alone for reasons known only to them at the moment.

What is IC?
Intelligence community.
We have 17+ agencies within the Department of National Intelligence (DNI) post 9/11 all of whom also use contractors and assets globally to do work that is compartmentalized and often not shared between or even within agencies for purposes of deniability or security.
One of their favorite games to play is “the CIA wasn’t involved with that” or “no cia employees were involved” because they’re technically/legally correct.
It was often some other compartmentalized sub group using contractors with cutouts and 99.99% of people in Langley would’ve had no idea it was being run or coordinated by some group within the DNI via proxies.
Guys like Shawn Ryan and Erik Prince both got their start doing wet work for the agency on projects exactly like that.
So to avoid the “it was/wasn’t the CIA” BS you have to look at whether any of the 17 IC/DNI agencies or their contractors, assets or sources were involved or had awareness of whatever the thing was like the nordstream pipeline attack.
