The 5th. Late birthday present(which is Wednesday) to myself, with the wife's blessing of course.

Can't wait. Vince has long been one of my favorites and he's one of the best to ever do it. He's 68 so I figured this might be my last chance to see him so I took advantage of it.

Really looking forward to it. Has anyone else seen him?

Years ago he and Amy Grant came to BR and did their Christmas show. My wife and I went thinking that Amy Grant was going to be the star of the show. He turned out to be the star and it wasn’t close. He’s is as good as they come.

Saw him 2-3 years ago at Billy Bob's. I've always been a big fan even though I'm way younger than his usual audience. I'm a huge fan of his voice and he's a phenomenal guitar player. I've wanted to see him for years but couldn't ever make it work.

All that to say, I admittedly went in with somewhat high expectations. He absolutely met and exceeded them.

Saw him at The Opry in February. Didn’t play an entire set (The Opry runs on a strict time schedule), but in addition to his set, he also played with Old Crow Medicine Show and Maggie Rose. Told some stories and played some great music. He was awesome.

Saw him at The Ryman a couple of years ago. Amazing 4-hour show.

I went just to see a show while in Nashville, not really a big VG fan, but at the end said it was one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen.

Seen him multiple times in multiple venues, although it's probably been 15+ years since the last show. He was one of my mom's favorites so I'd take her anytime he was in Atlanta - Omni, Philips, Chastain.

Always a great show, amazing instrumentalist, great stories.

Update:
Just a fantastic show all around. He opened with One More Last Chance and went from there. He switched guitars after every song. Which I thought was really cool.

His voice is still as smooth as it was in 1995. Hasn't trailed off at all. Which is pretty amazing considering he's 68.

He is a musician's musician. Watching him play guitar is a treasure. He's one of the best in the business. His drummer has been with him since 1987. That alone tells you how he treats his guys.

His daughter, Corrina, came out and performed one of her songs. She definitely has her mom and dad's genetics and might be better than both of them which is saying something. Her dad's range and mom's sultriness. She was outstanding. Got a standing ovation.

His electric guitar player, who's an Aussie, also performed an original song.

He did 5 new songs. Including one written about his best friend who passed away.

His stories....

Just an all-around great show at a great, historic venue. I always love going to a show at The FOX.

I've told this story on here before but it is so funny I'm going to tell it again.

Saw Vince at Chastain one year. If you're not familiar with Chastain Park Amphitheater in Atlanta, the area in front of the stage has tables set up and people will bring in food and drinks, etc. and most tables are sold on a season basis.

One particular patron was clearly over served and was doing this strange trance dance around the tables. Something was said, not sure what (maybe he requested a song, maybe someone asked him to sit down). The guy either said something to Vince or flipped him off. Vince's response was (in his typical laughing repartee) "You do that again and I'll come kick your arse."
