According to this informative article on yahoo, it is disputable whether figs are vegan.
However, I can tell you with absolute certainty that all vegans are figs.

Regarding the concept of whether figs are Vegan - they are, otherwise the concept wouldn't exist.
There is animal matter and remains in everything we eat, touch, drink and use. Just because there is some dissolved insect matter in a fig does not make it non-vegan. That is ridiculous.

Stop stereotyping people, homosexuals likely all have a wide variety of diets.

Then get one. They are easy to grow and don't take too long to start producing good fruit.
I moved into my current house over 30 years ago and it had 2 fig trees in the back yard. One in the open and one shaded by a large pecan tree in the neighbor's yard and that one was WAY smaller than the one getting full sun.
I eventually got rid of the one that was shaded since it didn't produce much and never really looked like it would.
The other one was mature when I moved in and I'd get several hundred figs off of it for about 3 weeks in the summer. It got some type disease and I had to cut more than half of it away and 2 years later it was producing better than ever with new growth. Hell, it even survived damn near 5 ft. of floodwater for over a month when Katrina hit.
It is now full of small green figs and I'd estimate this year I'll pick close to 1500 figs off of it when they do start to ripen------as long as I get out to pick them before the birds start picking at them.

Imagine how fragile your ego is that you must tie your diet into being a man

How did you keep birds from eating all the figs?
Posted on 5/30/25 at 4:45 pm to TheWalrus
Most of the figs I know are in SF and are vegan crossfiters.

Generally speaking, MO’s are more open minded. Which would lead to them being more open to a non-sausage diet while they’re taking the sausage from a different angle. Know what I sayin?

You can either put a netting over the tree to keep them at bay or do as I do and get up before sunrise and get out to pick them before the birds get started.
The problem with the birds is they will pick a hole in the fig, eat just the very sweetest part and move on to another fig and that allows bugs to get into the figs easier and for them to ruin them even more.
Another problem is if you get a heavy rain as the figs are ripening. That will often cause the figs to split due to them taking up too much water and that also allows small bugs to start eating the figs.
