He didn’t finish his USSS career. He tried to run for office and lost and then found his place in independent journalism and pod casting. His new career I’m sure is incredibly demanding.

I don't think he was randomly called for the job by Trump as he said. He had to have been playing lobbyist for a position in at least the head of the secret service.

We are talking about, gathering evidence , seating investigative federal grand juries, indicting complex cases, and making arrests in 3 months, while dealing with a largely disloyal staff and oppositional US Attorney offices. Oh, and did I mention most of the jurisdiction in these matters lies in DC federal court? That’s just not realistic.
