‘I’m not going to be intimidated’: Colorado attorney general says Trump administration cannot free Tina Peters
quote:
Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser said Wednesday that the federal government has no standing to free former Mesa County clerk Tina Peters from jail.
“We have our own system,” Weiser said in an interview with Colorado Matters. “This is what our constitution calls federalism. We enforce our criminal laws and the federal government can't hijack that system. They have to honor it. We are a separate sovereign.”

What a slimy cuck. I’m sure he follows every federal law he can find. Especially the immigration ones.

Would be terrible if someone resorted to violence.

Bondi needs to ratchet up the pressure on Colorado in this case. Another political prisoner of the former Regime.

We also know Commierado won't be holding legitimate elections anytime soon, as well.

Says some voting machines were compromised when she was attempting to check for voter fraud with some other folks.
Did she do something calculated there or did they get her for just having folks around the machines when they weren’t supposed to be?

I believe she gave confidential data to a third party who had no authorization to possess the data, without proper authorization, and prior to that illegally accessed the database to download/transfer the data.
This was a pretty clear cut case IIRC.

You obviously don’t recall. The entire case was lawfare on steroids. She was targeted for having an unpopular opinion.

What about the allegations was incorrect?
Did she give confidential data to a third party?
Did she illegally access that information prior to transfer?
I didn't think either of those things was in dispute, but I can pull up articles about the case again if my memory is wrong.

“There's going to be appeals in state court. We're handling that work and we're going to handle it with integrity and commit to the rule of law,” Weiser said. “And we're not going to be intimidated by the administration that has shown a disregard for the rule of law and a willingness to try to essentially use fear tactics.
“I'm not going to be intimidated. I'm not going to be afraid. I'm going to defend the rule of law.”
I guarantee you he will use every tactic he can to delay these appeals.

I know nothing about this case and I’m sure some activist judges and DAs are involved in the persecution of a political dissident but what does her being a gold star mom have to do with it?
