Live on golf course with Bermuda infiltrating my St.Aug . I cut at 3 1/2.”. Went to site 1 wanting post emerge with Celsius and nitrogen. Had none so gave me Hotshot 0-0-7 with Atrazine. Also bought Lesco Nos plus 24-2-11. I’ve read that the atrazine will stunt the Bermuda and not the St. Aug. Thought I might put the atrazine down and a few days later the NosPlus. Thoughts on this plan.???? Thanks.!!

Thanks. I have read about the Recognition and Fusilade combo. 2 things: It’s expensive and I haven’t read any clear cut directions on how to mix those 2 in a 1 or 2 gallon pump sprayer.
Any idea about mixing those to in a pump sprayer.?

quarter tspn. Get you a set on Amazon. They go down to 1/64th

From Grok:
quote:

0.04 oz of liquid is approximately 0.24 teaspoons (tsp).
This conversion assumes the liquid is water or has a similar density, as 1 fluid ounce equals approximately 6 teaspoons. So, 0.04 oz × 6 tsp/oz = 0.24 tsp.

This cheap scale from amazon has been my best friend for stuff like this.

ETA: For the recognition combo I’ve been following the Lawn Care Nut’s guidance and it has been working out very well for me.

quote:

Recognition Herbicide Application Rates
1 acre = 43,500 sq ft
1.29 / 43.5 = .03 oz

1 oz = 28 grams
.03 oz = .85 grams

So the rate converted to grams is .85 grams / 1,000 sq ft
1 gallon of spray mix covers 1,000 sq ft

Fusilade2 Herbicide rate: 24 oz / acre
This is a liquid concentrate so the rate here is expressed in volume. This means you can use a measuring cup to measure out the product.

1 acre = 43,500 sq ft
24 oz / acre

24 / 43.5 = .55

So the rate of Fusilade2 is .55 oz / 1,000 sq ft
1 gallon of spray mix covers 1,000 sq ft

Surfactant
There is also a recommendation to use surfactant. I have non-ionic surfactant and I used 1 oz / gallon.

I mixed up 3 gallons which is enough to cover 3,000 sq ft. If you also want to mix up 3 gallons, this is your fill sheet:

3,000 sq ft
3 gallons

.85 x 3 = 2.55 grams of RECOGNITION herbicide

.55 x 3 = 1.65 oz FUSILADE2 herbicide

3 oz non-ionic surfactant

This same mix can be used on St Augustine grass and Zoysia grass as a broad leaf weed killer and to eliminate the bermuda grass that may be invading. Here are some other best practices to follow:

No watering or rain for at least 3 hours. That’s the minimum amount of time they want you to leave it sitting but if you can let it go overnight that’s even better. Let that stuff soak in!

Others have answered with good information but .04 oz is 1.14 cc's (or ml's).

A TB syringe will get you on exactly that.

If you happen to know anyone that has them or can get them.

ETA...DOH! We talking granules here?

Why would you have to do this? Recognition fuilsade mix doesn't nuke the lawn.

Yea the Bermuda just turns purple and fades out. Recognition doesn’t hurt the st Aug.
