Recently replaced all the windows in our house. Total of 30 . Wife wants to have a greenhouse built using them. Anybody have any experience with this?

No. But I’ve been saving old windows for such. Wife thinks I’m nuts. Kudos to your wife. Good luck.

I suspect the money you will save in greenhouse panels you will more than spend in framing to install the windows. Also you need to do the roof. Also glass is much less efficient In holding heat when it’s very cold than the translucent panels
but, if she wants the look then go for it

I'd be worried about the longevity of it. Would have to be sealed and protected well

I looked at Craigslist for two years before I found the right leftover polycarb panels, then I made my greenhouse.
My biggest advice is put your heater on a DIY solid state thermostat vs. a mechanical relay and be damn sure to lock that door tight in the winter. Windows may work fine.

I’ve built a couple. Old wooden framed windows which used to be plentiful and cypress (reclaimed) for the walls and either tin or translucent panels or a combination of both for the roof. Framing is not a huge deal.

I don't even like sealing the ones on my house...but I am interested in this project, post pics if you get it going.

That should work fine. Sounds like a good task for chatGPT
