Where to stay for regional round?

Planning to attend the regional and looking for recommendations for a decent area to stay. I haven't been to BR in a long time, but I know traffic and crime are OOC. Any suggestions for areas to stay and / or avoid are appreciated.

Courtyard on Acadian Thruway and I-10. Close to everything and reasonably safe. Several restaurants close and stadium is a short hop away.
The Renaissance and Marriott off Corporate Boulevard are nicer but at a different price point. Both are reasonably convenient.

Anywhere off of Alvin Dark is great!

The traveling baseball teams stay at the Renaissance on Bluebonnet. Downtown hotels like Hilton, Indigo, and the Watermark are also convenient to the stadium, but you may have additional expense for parking.

When I have guests come into Baton Rouge I always book a reservation for them at the Hyatt Place Suites on Bluebonnet Dr. near the interstate.

L'Auberge Casino. Approx $169/night. I know they provide free shuttle to football games...not sure about regionals. Only a 6 mile drive even if they don't.

This guy is a refined gentleman. You can't beat the location. Won't be any Baton Rouge traffic to deal with on the drive up and down River Road. And then you have your entertainment after games.
