Okay guys educate me. Is the proposed budget more than last year and what is the explanation for this? This is not a troll. I am a Trump voter and am having trouble understanding what everyone is talking about.

Truly looking for a clearer understanding

it doesn't matter because tax cuts bring in more revenue but it's not counted that way and both sides have many tricks to hide the real numbers.

Would like to know the answer to that too.

I keep hearing the Republicans talk about how many cuts are in it, and then shitting on Massie for not supporting it, so that tells me there's more spending than last year.

Renew Trump tax cuts.

No cuts to Medicaid,
No cuts to Green Deal.

Increase in defense and border control.

Projected increase in deficit of 4 to 5 trillion dollars.

The frick it doesn't matter.

Yes, we want to reign in runaway deficits/debt, but we also absolutely need to reign in fedgov. I don't care if we're running a trillion dollar surplus. Cut federal spending through the bone now.

163 billion in cuts to non discretionary spending, offset by 13% increase in defense.

The deficit will be 1.9 trillion.

The defense piece pisses me off, the budget at 750 billion a few years ago, according to the Pentagon itself, had 100 billion in waste, so it was probably closer to 200 billion, or a budget of 550 billion, now 450 billion more to 1 trillion, a few years later????

These obscene contracts like the f-35 hundreds of billions over budget and rife with defects.....while everyone is moving to sats and drones. Its akin to the brits wasting money on battleships prior to WW2 when everyone was moving to aircraft carriers.

The fact Elon said we could use AI to take from concept to production, and manufacture in a few places, saving billions and years, must have scared the snot out of the MIC.

Includes tax breaks, which are baked in, have been there since Trump first term.

SALT deduction went from $10K to $40K.
After $4K tax credit, seniors get about $37.50 a month!
DOGE found $170B in waste and the GOPe kept it in the budget.
Trump got played for a fool.
