In person that I've seen in HS, yes. Last year, I played on a HS team that had five guys go D-1, including two who went to OSU (one of which was a 5-star)

Believe me, I wasn't knocking B.Q. being your town's claim to fame in the football world. I'd be proud of that guy as well, and if the Browns don't put him #1 with the new coach, I'd be surprised.

I'll never forget my college roomate describing what it was like to line up against Cris Carter in h/s, as a jr. at Moeller, as a replacement db.

Lester Earl....absolute man-child.

He is the only person to ever beat Kobe in a slam dunk contest. At the McDonald's All-American game he actually intimidated the hell out of Kobe and rest and easily won the crown.

keep in the mind the one over the ball rack is left handed, and a two foot takeoff. He dunked with rare power.

But, he was a shady cat, blew out a knee, and was never the same.

LINK

randy livingston would be 1a. Another guy who had terrible, terrible knee problems.

I would like to add Jake Delhomme. He played in our district. He was a very good all around athlete. He absolutely torched us in football. We were able to pound them in basketball.

I don't know why it's here, ask the originator of the thread. But, yes... W.M. completely kicked the crap out of Midland, either 30 or 31 to 6, I believe.

W.M. swarmed him throughout the entire game. 2 plays stick out in my mind. The 80 yd. run for Midland's only TD, and when he ran across the field and annihilated a W.M. guy that had intercepted a pass.

I've seen a lot of LSU and other D-1 players, but that stood out. It's subjective. Who is your pick?

I was thinking f/ball. R.L. was the best h/s player I have seen. What a run of bad luck he had with injuries, otherwise... there's no telling.
