Also a Chuy's at the Summit, which is the same exit and about 5ish minutes closer to 459, though if you want the best Mexican, EZZ is the choice. Their taco plates are really good.

Edit: Forgot about Taca Mamas. Also at the Summit.

We know the owner and manager very well. Hot take: best wings in the 280 area. They serve them dry with a cilantro ranch dipping sauce.

Late to the party, but this was definitely the right answer.

They used to have a great sweet spot for price/quality. The tacos are pretty boring white people tacos and not great, never really were. BUT, their burritos are still pretty solid and the make your own burrito can be really good. The barbacoa or chorizo were both decent and I've made some plenty good buritos there.

Pre-covid, you could get a massive burrito, chips, side queso, and soft drink for around $11. For that price point and with how good their margaritas are, it was a good option for a quick weeknight dinner or something.

Now, it is getting close to $20 for that same thing and their quality has gone downhill so much. Really unfortunate.

Best wings in Cahaba Heights. Cilantro ranch is off the charts good.

Those look very good. Next time i'm out that way, will definitely have to order.

Speaking of mexican food, El Royale Cafe is opening up this week. Going to try it out on Sunday. The venue looks phenomenal. They did a great job renovating the Beer Garden in lakeview. A lot of the people involved with Slim's Pizzeria are in on this project, so I expect it will be solid.
