I've watched several videos lately of people using cellular streaming cams on their properties for deer, trespassers, etc. These cameras have the ability to pan 360, and some have zoom capabilities. When shopping for these cams, I'm not seeing any brand names. Everything on Amazon looks iffy. Reolink is one name that keeps popping up, but never heard of it before. Anyone else tried these type of cams?

You Tube vid for reference

I have a Stealth Cam Deceptor Max. I got it on a warranty issue on another camera.

They just pushed an update this week that lets you stream live.

I upgraded my plan to see if I would use it. Haven’t yet though.

It’s a good camera but it eats batteries and it takes 16 AA’s.

When I built my new place last year, I built my shop and started moving some equipment out here before I had my gate up and place secured. Not that I'd had any issues, but bought 3 of those Reolinks to watch over my shop, equipment and road. They worked flawlessly for that, and as soon as the house was done, it left the one up at the entrance gate to my place and moved the other two onto feeders. My only cell came experience prior to this was with spy cams, which were terrible for me, but the reaolinks have been fantastic and completely trouble free for two years now. No problem ever logging in, can pan tilt zoom remotely and you can remotely format the SD card. I have been very pleased with them.

I have some land that's 4 hours away so I like to run cameras on it while I'm gone, especially starting in September or so leading up to deer season.

I bought two Spypoint from Walmart (went cheap) I think they were $55.00 or so, plus you pay $8.00 a month for unlimited pics on their app.

Two years in a row they worked great for about two months then stopped sending pics, both close to the same time. They have battery life and a signal but nothing.

So my advise is don't use Spypoint unless you are close enough to babysit them

I have two of the Reolink at my place in Venice I have been happy with them and was recommended them by two friends down there that have used them a while. They seem to be what you are looking for over a standard deer trail camera.

Sounds like Reolink is the real deal. Was skeptical of all the super cheap ones on Amazon. Thanks guys!

Are the Reolinks wifi cameras or cell?

They make both from what I see on their web site. I will be needing cell at my place.

Concur with this. Very unpredictable.
