Rick Newman is a lying POS Yahoo Finance Columnist..

His latest column..
Inflation would be licked if not for Trump’s tariffs.
This must have been a last second re-write for the one he had queued up for a CPI report if inflation had increased.
Lowest since 2021? Trump’s tariffs didn’t exist the last 4 years, so why did inflation persist under Biden’s presidency?
Also, I refuse to give that guy any more clicks so I didn’t post a link to his bullshite.
Inflation would be licked if not for Trump’s tariffs.

If you don’t know what caused tremendous inflation (in the COVID aftermath) I don’t think you need to worry about financial columnists.

He sucks in every way possible. Always positive to dems, always negative lot trump. He frequently lies and spreads misinformation yet yahoo still employs him. Years back when I caught him in lies, there was an email that goes directly to him and we went back and forth quite a bit. Now they don’t have that feature, but he is just a tds clown that needs to be fired yesterday

Energy price volatility certainly didn’t help but no, that wasn’t the main driver by any means. And frankly, “putins price hikes” was really poor messaging from Joe.
But comparing today to 2021 is still pretty silly.

95% of the media who write or do TV about politics are very low IQ people who are dishonest on top of that. Trump has been back in office for less than 5 months and this dude is blaming tariffs on inflation not being completely eliminated. And the tariff adjustments mostly just started last month. Their coverage is getting laughable.

The comment was directed at the four years after 2/2021 where inflation persisted and never saw the low point we just had posted.
Newman should be asking why Biden’s policies kept inflation up.
