Vernon parish rivals get after it today at 11:30 Pitkin and Hicks. Pitkin should win, but anything can happen. Quitman won it last year. I think they won both games by a score of 1-0.

Heck yea, I like all that small school sports talk.
I went to a small school back in the stone age and my sons went to school in the highest classification. Just something different at the small schools when they are good and making a playoff run.

Hicks
Just looked up their high school on google earth. It’s literally a building with a baseball and a softball field, in the middle of nowhere with nothing else around it
Where do they find the kids to go to this school? There’s probably 11 houses within a ten mile radius

Since my last name is Hicks, I know who I'm cheering for.

Love the tradition of keeping the small schools going.
Fairview High, Plainview and Elizabeth are all located fairly close to each other. Not too far from Oakdale.

Pitkin may have to give some of that state trophy to Fairview. The best athlete from Fairview moved there last year. Good coaching helps, but talent helps a coach look really good.
