How many qbs in history that didn’t dominate in college end up being great in the pros. Especially one with such a huge age advantage over everyone else.

He had the 22nd ranked qbr rating in college. And before you say but Louisville, Lamar dominated at Louisville and won the Heisman.

Crazy that Lamar is only two years older than Shough for perspective.

I'm not necessarily on the Shough bandwagon or the Rattler bandwagon. I'm on the whoever can help us bandwagon.

ETA The FO must have seen something strong to use a second to get him.

Shough had 23 TDs and 6 INTs

Kirk Cousins' best year at Michigan State he had 25 TDs and 10 INTs
Matt Stafford's best year at Georgia he had 25 TDs and 10 INTs
Jordan Love's final year at Utah State he had 20 TDs and 17 INTs
Brock Purdy's final year at Iowa State he had 19 TDs and 8 INTs

There are several others as well

Not necessarily on the Shough bandwagon, but saying he can't be good because he wasn't dominant in college isn't a good argument

There is a lot of space between being a decent NFL QB and being Lamar Jackson, a multiple MVP winning QB. Weird comparison.

Loves soph year he dominated the competition. Think they had players graduate and a coaching change. And he left as a junior.

Same for Stafford, who played much tougher competition. And he started as a true freshman.

Cousins started 3 full seasons.

Purdy was a rare 4 full season starter.

Well there isn’t much difference in where they were drafted, around ten spots? If that.

And they played at the same college. I think it’s a good comparison.

Brady wasn't even a full-time starter at Michigan

You have 8-9 topics started by you alone that either directly or near directly total fricking bleeding vagina of the shough pick. It’s fricking sad and you are completely off and the Carr situation only validates the need for a ready step in and play now type qb. He has the arm talent, the maturity, the size strength and seems to be a smart and genuine hard worker and leader and you keep fricking crying. Jesus frick

Still have a ways to go to catch up with your Taysom should be the #1 qb hot takes…

So deal with it.

Any reason you want to trash our second round pick, hasn’t played a down, likely starting QB on Saturday night?

So he can be right

This is such a stupid arse thread. Nobody here drafted Shough, but shame on you for being optimistic or excited

So what are you saying?

Saints fans shouldn’t hope he does well?

I didnt particularly love the pick but at least they’re trying and going with something new. I’ll take that 100/100x over going 6-11 with some old arse retread.

How about let’s wait and see? He’s clearly the best passer of the 3 QB on our roster but Rattler is more athletic. Shough can absolutely fire the fricking pigskin.
