Regarding Saints QBs….. I believe this to be true.

Nobody wants to see a 2nd Rd draft pick of the Saints fail (Lawd knows we’ve suffered seeing this enuff over the years)…..
Problem is…. Whatever QB plays for the Saints (it better not be Carr) has to perform so highly and skillfully …putting the Saints
In a position .. to literally be FORCED…
to pass up drafting Nussmeier or Manning if they were available when the Saints picked.
Trust me… I don’t care what ANY QB does on the Saints roster this coming season…. Nussmeier or Manning would be picked if either fell to the Saints draft position (which will be top 5).
I’ve seen 2 mock drafts for 2026 ….
—1 draft had Saints with #1 overall pick.
—2nd draft had Saints with 2nd overall pick
*** It’s almost unfair to Shough and the other QBs…. If they dont show Pro Bowl type potential this coming year (like that rookie QB did in Denver this past year) …. another QB will be drafted very highly by the Saints.. if available.

The best case scenario would be something like Tyler Shough playing well enough to be promising, but we're bad enough to have a chance at a top 3 pick and QB.

If the Saints wind up with the #1 pick, there isn’t a chance in f*cking hell that Arch Manning is going to come out. He'll stay at Texas for a senior year. There is no way in the f*cking world that the Mannings are going to let Arch start his career in this f*cking dumpster fire with Mickey Loomis.

Not surprised I must spell this out for you.
Those mock drafts are just an indication of how people feel that Saints will easily be picking in the top 5 as one of the worst teams in the nfl.
Las Vegas is laying odds the Saints pick in the top 3 next year…..and Vegas is alive and well, making money hand over fist, because their predictions are mostly correct.

If Tyler starts, I think we all can agree if we see improvement through our the season and show ability to make plays the Saints will be less pressured to take a QB early next year. We have a season ahead of us to figure all that out.

No…. I just hate wasting high 2nd draft picks…. We have ALL seen enough of it with the Saints. No need to list the litany of players.
It was just dumb to waste a 2nd rd pick on a QB in this draft when the Quality QBs are in NEXT years draft.
We wasted an opportunity to draft either another quality starting DL, CB, WR or S.
But we now have our 27 year old rookie QB.
That’s ok… you can take your ignorance and cuddle next to Loomis and discuss it all next year in the Benson Suite after we get donations for your SUITE seat…..
Or should I say SWEET seat next to Loomis.

You can bookmark this but I have it on good authority that Arch fully intends to stay at UTA for his senior year regardless of the Saints. Also, the perceived ill-will that Archie had regarding the Saints has largely subsided and I have not heard anything about Arch (or Cooper for that matter) pulling an Uncle Eli if the Saints did pick him. Yes, sauces.
