I am tired of trying to keep water spigots from freezing every time there is a cold snap during the winter. Does anyone have experience with the water spigots that have a plunger to shut off the water below ground?

I use these and they work as advertised. Sold at Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Amazon…

Are you looking for a frost proof hose bibb or a faucet for a sink?

all of my outdoor hose bibbs are freeze proof.
out in the yard and at the barn I have freeze proof hydrants (the ones with the pump handle and underground valve). At the house I have freeze proof faucets, by woodford. They also make a freeze proof shower fixture which I used at the outdoor shower

Used four of these during the freezes this past winter and they worked as advertised.

These are the kind that I am talking about…I just didn’t want to invest a lot of time and money into installing these things if there was any doubt about them working.

Thanks to all who replied.

I just had one of these installed at my water meter. I wanted more pressure for watering the lawn plus I did not want to worrry about it freezing. These are used a lot at RV campgrounds.

Assume you are talking about these.

Yes they work good if you by a reputable brand.

I bought the Amazon clones. Both failed by the second freeze. Returned.
