I foolishly let my GE expire 3 days ago and just applied to renew. How long will I be without it? I've seen people say 24 hours and and others over a year....

I had my new card within a week of renewing online. This was within the last few weeks

Just got my approval, no interview. Flying next month so I'm glad

Have any of you used MPC - mobile passport control? It’s a government app where you put your information when returning. Supposedly people have used it faster than Global Entry.

I have not, but it still requires you to speak to a customs agent it seems. While my experiences are just my own, GE is faster. Agent called me up, before reaching the guy he said have a good day and I was through. I went through customs in less than 30 seconds traveling through Houston a couple months ago. The other times have taken no more than 2 minutes.

I applied on a Sunday, got an email on Monday that I was approved, and could print out the email if needed, but got the physical card on Wednesday. Shocked the shite out of me.

I’ve used the MPC app and it was great. Plugged everything in and moved right through customs with minimal delay.

I've used MPC for a long time. You go to the line with FAs in it (ie, not many people), and I can count on five fingers the number of times it's taken me more than 2-3 minutes.
The only issue is that I've encountered is places like SFO inexplicably not staffing the MPC line in the middle of the day, and it's closed. That's only happened 2-3 times.
