What idiots on here keep saying tariffs don't work?

I'm not saying I immediately dismiss this, but like the Russia/Ukraine war, it's going to be difficult to discern what is happening with all of the propaganda flying.
That could easily be CIA propaganda or Financial Times is pushing this narrative for western interests.

Unrest has been reported across the country as workers have taken to the streets protesting unpaid wages and challenging unfair dismissals following the closures of factories squeezed by US tariffs, according to Radio Free Asia.

Where are the videos of these “spreading” protests??? Fake news propped up by CIA.
Just words in an article from a paper that is Israel First and Ukraine second and USA somewhere in top 10.
And you’re the one calling others “idiots”?! When will Americans learn to stop trusting the MSM.

Would not publish anything that could ever be construed as putting a good light on Trump.

If it was Hamas propaganda, you’d believe it without a second thought

To determine whether or not something works you've got to know what it's supposed to do.

It's funny you say that. This board has zero trust in MSM when it comes to certain subjects, but swallows the material whole on others. Just be consistent.

Stop it. Get some help.
China doesn't have independent media. That's Communism. You know. The type of government you support.

Our narrative means nothing to china.
Posting blatant lies also lessens those outlets credibility. Is it possible it's all made up? Sure. But being a closed totalitarian state it's what you deserve.

Trump's China tariffs could start a rebellion for the Chinese to overthrow Communism.

This perfectly describes you. In fact, the only consistent thing about you is wanting the mass extermination of Jews

Closing the small package tariff loophole is probably a the main culprit here.
Most of those Temu style drop ship items are fairly low margin to begin with and the manufacturers/products change frequently as new fads and products hit the web. Because of this, they are somewhat higher risk and tend to be ran on a very tight budget.
No more loophole means no one wants the products and the tight budget means they have no reserves to survive a prolong lull in demand. Most are set up with the idea of almost of Ponzi scheme level of funding with a 4 to 6 week max cash-to-cash cycle. No products going out plus all of their WIP items having no value and no domestic market that could even come close to providing the same margins, all of these companies are just shutting down and leaving their employees hanging in the wind.
The bigger manufacturers for major products still have some runway (and most likely sufficient access/political pull to receive assistance from
the CCP) but there is a huge set of their economy of smaller manufacturers that are just getting crushed and have no option than to just walk away. That is a lot of people out of work…

Shows you know nothing about Chinese culture as a whole.
They value family, harmony and respect, so for them to rise up to overthrow the CCP, ain't happening unless the govt goes bat dung crazy and starts mass roundups and detentions that hasn’t been seen since 1989.
