fouling the shite out of someone…I am so sick of the refs allowing “Playoff basketball”….if it’s a foul, it’s a foul in a preseason game or the NBA Finals….if it’s a foul, call it. So again, tired of hearing about how “physical” certain teams get credit for being. All they’re doing is fouling. Change my mind.

I would think it’s a little more than that… it’s possible to be physical yet not foul

Just let the players call their own fouls playground/PE style.

Disagree. Herb Jones is one of the most physical defenders I’ve seen on a basketball court but he doesn’t foul excessively (by the eye test nor his foul numbers)

Incorrect. Being physical means allowing verticality on contesting shots at the basket, bumping guys, not calling ticky tack fouls on player movement, etc.

Now the NBA has taken it far and is basically allowing playground basketball. They have also missed fouls as a result, but I'm okay with it. This is better than ticky tack calls and foul baiting for FTs.

I agree that a foul, penalty, flag should be called if warranted not matter the circumstance. It seems like many of the sports leagues encourage "swallowing" the whistle in the playoffs and key moments and I get the heart behind that, but penalties and fouls are infractions for a reason and if something is clear, it should be called. I don't have as much of an issue with the ticky tack calls going uncalled but I'd advocate for that in a regular season game too.

It's not a foul unless you draw blood.
