WTF happened to Milam?

We really needed that guy this year and he just hasn't put it together.
Unless he comes together I just don't think we have enough to make a real run.
Very disappointing, but hope he pulls it together as a leader we need him.
He has been nonexistent.

He was fine last year and a sophomore slump it is apparently

Right along with about 7-8 other hitters in the lineup.

It’s not just Milam. Most of this lineup disappears for large stretches.

This team just lacks Killers and it's tough to watch.

Our hitters lack a true alpha

He wasn't the monster we thought he would be. He has been good defensively though.

He's basically an automatic out over the last month
Might have 3 or 4 hits total in the past 4 series

Sophomore slump is a thing for a reason. He's not the only one.

Bear swings for the fences every fukin time he is up.
Just no cohesive play with the offense.
We have only played two fantastic games all year against worthwhile SEC teams.
Game 1 Texas and Game 3 Tennessee.

He’ll get it together.

Easy..... this place will hang you if you say something negative towards a player!!
This place and the posters here just seem "ok" with losing a game to a team that they should be. And their GO TO response is usually.... "that's baseball".

He’s a helluva lot better than Braswell III.

What happened with him and the rest of the team is good SEC pitching. CJJ’s plate coaching has them jammed up. Coach needs to be the CEO and hire a good hitting coach. He must admit to himself that his style doesn’t work in the SEC unless he’s got a lineup up musclemen. Even then it sometimes doesn’t work. He needs to hire a coach that will develop each hitter to their strengths. One style doesn’t fit all and that’s the problem. I’m very unimpressed with the hitting fundamentals this team has at the plate. Very rarely do I see swings for hitting the ball where the pitch is. It’s all, swing as hard as you can and hope the pitcher hits the bat. Trying to pull outside pitches will almost ALWAYS lead to popups or Ks.

I have said this all season. A real hitting coach is needed. CJJ likes to portal shop and hope he can find the next best thing....needs to get back to development.
Stanfield has the most cosistent approach- line drives, bat to ball. keeping it simple.
