Caddies of LIV golfers get paid too?

Think the players gave them a % of their LIV signing checks?
What's the proper etiquette there? Do you think they should?
Do caddies get any money from endorsements? Don't some caddies wear the same gear as their players?
I have no clue how all that works.

Caddies typically get a stipend and then usually 10% percent of tour WINNINGS. Do winnings include all pay? Endorsements, $100M signing bonuses..?
Hence the question in the OP you seemed to have failed to understand...

I actually know a LIV caddy.
He seems thrilled with LIV’s treatment of caddies.

You seem very interested in LIV for someone who doesn’t like it.
No cut events means players are guaranteed pay. Obviously the players pay their caddies & I wouldn’t be surprised if LIV is paying for a lot of the travel costs

The caddies get all their expenses paid, the flights and hotels. They get the food paid for. They put money behind the bar for the caddies to have a drink.”
He added: “All the tee times are in the afternoon. It's a shotgun start. They play three rounds instead of four. And the prize money, whether you play good, bad or ugly, is very handsome. Players still get quite a bit of money for playing poorly. From a caddie's point of view, it's the dream, the LIV Tour.”

Last place caddie gets reassigned to the Saudi’s talent agency of aspiring young terrorists. Carrying Anthony Kim’s bag is basically a death sentence. You do have a chance to get back on the tour, but you have to carry out a terrorist attack. I think Phil Mickelson’s caddy is the only one that was able to make it out of the program and back on the bag so far.

Maybe it's better to learn more about something you don't like.
I was asking did caddies get any % or bonus from the big LIV signing bonuses the golfers got. That's all.
I know how caddies are typically paid, but a golfer getting a $100M signing check isn't typical. Wondering if any caddies got like a $500,000 bonus check or anything from their golfers.

I think if you were a caddy for a player for 10+ years through good and bad, and your player signed for an $80M bonus with another league... the caddy should feel a little entitled to a bonus check. They are a big part of the team for many pro golfers.
Caddy pay can be controversial...
Why did the Kuchar winning the tourney in Mexico or whereever get so much attention on here and in the media when he won and then paid the agreed amount to the temporary caddy?
But everyone said the caddy was entitled to the 10% of winnings because Kuchar won.
Seems that was cut and dry as well, but it wasn't.
Let me have my feelings!!!

Who on LIV do you think this applies to?
Does Rory pay his caddy a portion of his PIP payout?
It’s just a wild question to ask for some made up scenario

I don't think it's that crazy of a concept, and it only applies to long term caddy/player teams.

I don't know. There are no long term caddy-player teams on LIV?

It’s an interesting question actually. PGA tour caddies get a percentage of the winnings. If I understand correctly the LIV “winnings” are not actually winnings. They are deducted from the amount the player signs for. Player X signs for $10 million. They have to then have $10 million in winnings prior to actually seeing another check. Therefore not sure how it would work with the caddies.

You don’t understand correctly. That information was corrected years ago
quote:
LIV Golf officials said earnings are not counted against or recouped against any guaranteed money and the league also released a statement from its chief operating officer, Atul Khosla.
“This issue is simple, and we’ve addressed it before. Prize money is of course separate from the contractual monies that players earn,” Khosla said. “As you already know, prize money is not subtracted from a player’s contractual earnings.”
