Hernandez body/glove positioning

Whenever Luis Hernandez positions outside, we never get the call strike. And his glove movement on close calls is herky jerky such that we never get those calls. We need Milazzo to coach the catchers on subtle catcher’s mitt moves to get the umpire calls. Just my perspective.

He’s a below average receiver and plays defense from his knees. Hard to be in good position from your knees.
Was brought in as a hitter but it hasn’t translated to SEC level pitching.

Literally every catcher at D1, MiLB, and MLB is one knee down at this point.

Cade has pitched really well, with a high pitch count, unfortunately he's probably going to get a no decision

Receiving could be better, but he stays in front of balls very well. He learned how to catch like 6 months ago.
Arrambide was brought up on the one knee, steal the low strike mindset, and I think it's going to really pay off. As much trouble as he's had staying in front of stuff, LSU has stolen low strikes with him behind the plate. Specifically during his start against Alabama.
Milazzo was not an elite receiver. He stayed in front of balls very well, but doesn't need to be coaching guys on how to receive the ball.

IMO, Milazzo got a lot of close calls because his receiving.
Obviously, a lot depends on the ump too.

Great, but you still can’t defend from that position.
