This is an all encompassing thread. I know each has its strengths, but we're looking to put everything on the scales here and then evaluate.

Give me your opinion across a variety of categories.

Also, apologies if this is a redundant topic. New(ish) here.

The 80s but the music of the 90s gives it a run for its money.

80's music is overrated IMO

The metal scene was solid, but the hard rock hair bands aren't that great across the board. A lot of them ain't holding up tbh

1982 is so different from 1988. Same with comparing 1990 to 1998. It’s too big of a spectrum. IMO 1985 to 1995 was peak greatness, but it might depend on where you were in life.

Agreed for Louisiana. Get to enjoy enough of the eighties and the best of the nineties. 18-20 year olds in Louisiana haven’t legally been able to drink in a bar since 1996.

I could also make the case for 1975 to 1985 but I would have wanted to be in my twenties for most of those.

You might want to check that year. I know for a fact the 21 age changed prior to 1996. Hell, I googled the age change, and the results were crap. It turned 21 a couple of years before Murphy's was shut down and that was 1996 ish.
