Shaq’s natural reaction to every good big who’s come after him is to go at them. In his mind he wants to play and beat them. Their greatness wakes the competitor in him.

Both of them have expressed love for Jokic at various times. Shaq gets a little threatened by Jokic's legacy at times, but they definitely don't hate Jokic.

No they don’t they just get upset knowing that today’s game is way weaker than when they played and the way he plays he wouldn’t produce in their era. So when they try to put these great labels on him they don’t agree

Jokic has 20-40 lbs on all of the above but Shaq, he’s getting his pound of flesh in the paint. He's one of the greatest passers of all time at any position. His basketball IQ is off the charts. He can create shots and can hit 3's - picturing any of the above taking anything from range is a hilarious joke
Acting like he wouldn't thrive in that era is silly. He would be a nightmare to defend against. Even if teams did their best to limit his looks he'd end every game with 15-20 assists
His biggest offensive weakness (agility/quickness) isn't even a weakness in the 90s. It's only a weakness today because the modern big is a far better athlete and faster. He wouldn't even stick out back then

Jokic is arvydas sabonis with more handles. And IQ, be serious that’s basic basketball. Pass to the cutter or the open man that’s Denver offensively strategy. It’s all layups and open shots

Barkley loves him, if anything, Jokic makes Shaq insecure but he doesn’t hate him.
The TNT guys at least mention the Nuggets, ESPN hates them and slobs LA’s knob. It’s Kawhi this, Harden that, Clippers Clippers Clippers and obviously even worse when they’ve played the Lakers in the Playoffs
