Democratic U.S. Rep. Shri Thanedar of Detroit is calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump over his handling of a wrongfully deported Maryland man back to his native El Salvador.
"I've seen enough. Donald Trump is not abiding by a lawful Supreme Court ruling. As a member of Congress, I fully support impeaching him. NOW," Thanedar wrote in a Wednesday social media post.
The Detroit lawmaker doubled down on his calls for impeachment Friday.
"Republicans are upset that I have called for the impeachment of Donald Trump," he said in another post. "The reason why is simple: a President cannot disregard a lawful Supreme Court order and not face accountability."
Thanedar was referring to a unanimous decision by the high court that the Trump administration — which previously admitted to the deportation being an "administrative error" — must facilitate the man's return to the United States. Trump officials have said they cannot do anything to bring the man back since El Salvador President Nayib Bukele, who said in a visit to the White House in mid-April, "I don't have the power to return him to the United States."

Anything beyond that (offering a swap of some kind, threatening sanctions) falls squarely under foreign relations which is absolutely the SOLE purview of the President.
If the SCOTUS decides that's not enough, it is a facially unconstitutional and illegal ruling.

The fact that this clown doesn't understand the definition of "facilitate " should disqualify him from holding public office, especially at the national level.
