Shreveport times and ESPN radio up here are reporting he verbally comitted to LA. Tech and Derek Dooley. Alabama, OK. ST. and TCU all have been reported to offer. And personally I think he was just as good as Morris Claiborne. Any other thoughts or opinions on Mr. Giles

I was told that he reallys wants to play for Saban in Bama But he never got a committable offer. That is not confirmed info so take it for what its worth.

If Alabama, Ok.State, and TCU all offered and he committed to LA Tech, then those other offered were probably not commitable offers.

Watched both of them several times, Giles is good. B Logan is alot better. M Claiborne is the real deal, played QB,WR,RB and Safety. All his stats were against a district that sent 5 to the playoffs. He had no help, teams new if they stopped him they would win. Giles is not in the league as MC. I watched Haughton in the playoff game try to hit him every play, some late. My stepson plays for Haughton, the coach's and players will tell you he was very good..

Don't be so sure of that. Dooley is getting the interest of some pretty good recruits. If that staff continues to work hard for the next two weeks, they may end up with a pretty strong class. He's definetely got LATech going in the right direction. It's close to home for Giles and he can obviously make a much more immediate impact playing for the Dogs. Also, will be able to play with some former Evangel teamates.

I am not knocking Giles, he is really good. Morris is a special athlete and so is Logan. Dooley has Tech going in the right direction.

You think it's likely that he passed on two SEC schools and TCU to choose La Tech?

Quinn's mother works for me. They were visiting at La tech over the weekend. According to Mom, they had in home visits from OK State, TCU, Vanderbilt all with offers. This is a great pick-up for the Dawgs

The word seems to be true. Breaking the news all over North LA. Great pick up for Dooley. Next rumor is that Bennie Logan is very interested in La. Tech and Coach Dooley........What a class if Tech gets Logan and Rufus Porter.

Why choose Tech over Vandy? How could any parent choose a LA Tech education over Vandy?

Giles'Evangel teammate, Trey Wilson picked Vandy the other day, but he cared more about education. Giles picked Tech probably because their going to be very young next year when Antonio Baker and Deon Young graduate
