I just heard someone on CNBC say it’s hard not to think Trump blinked. My first thought is how petty. Does it really F’ing matter. I don’t think Trump has ever presented himself as someone afraid to negotiate, which obviously requires the ability to give at the proper time. But it seems the TDS crowd will now have a boner that Trump “blinked”

Trump single handedly destroyed the uniparty. If you still think he is an idiot, that just shows how dumb YOU are.

I’ll bite.

Let’s say he did blink.
The job of the president is to know when to hold em and when to fold em for the best interests of the country.

Let’s say he did blink… he did well.

He didn’t blink, though. This is still going on and it’s gonna get worse for China before it gets better. China is where Trump’s eyes are.

I could have told you a few days ago that no matter what happened I knew the answer

If he held on to the tariffs for any time whatsoever the way it would be covered is all of the other countries are fighting back in the tariffs aren't working

If he backs off the tariffs the coverage will be that he folded

The same goes for the Mind numbed robots here on the board with horrible cases of TDS. You could see that shite coming a mile away

Ironic that you are the first response I’m sure that’s your argument, and yeah it matters to a PT professional poster, but to quote you, if it’s not what Trump wanted, “post the data”

Trump is mastering strategic ambiguity. Almost everything is a head fake. If you’re trying to keep the wolves at bay while you build yourself back up this is how you do it.

He stated many times that if countries were willing to negotiate new trade deals he would be willing to ease tariffs. The pause is a sign of that. Basically saying alright you are willing to negotiate so we will pause the tariffs as a show of good faith so these negotiations can be successful. Guess who just got tariffs raised on them? China. Guess who said they wouldn't negotiate? China

Smart people have argued for weeks that the admin was engaging in obfuscation of a goal so they could present multiple options, so that no matter what, with hindsight bias, they could never been proven to have failed. MAGA relies on this strategy heavily. #Artofthedeal

Its not an argument, its a narrative. That's what the MSM propaganda machine does, they push narratives.
As far as the TDS folks around here, I think they are just ridiculous. A normal person would grow tired of always getting it wrong!

In no world or simulation that can be run was this ever not the play.

As soon as something happened it would be spun to a Trump negative.

For the record I havent been a huge fan of his lately, I just spit the truth.

Because there was zero failure. Now let’s do the last administration. You go first with a positive.
