What tax? Illegals working in US will generally claim 10 dependents to maximize money on the check. When and if filing, there will be little or no tax due with all those dependents. Why wouldn't they if breaking the law just to be here, why not have 10 dependents or whatever?
In addition, why wouldn't they borrow on money with interest only payment on a house. Predatory lenders will give the loan at a higher rate. Illegal walks away if they can't make the payment just like in 08.

Edit, This is what those fake SS#s are used for as one example.

Did you know that they can claim dependents residing in Canada or Mexico?

I just did an ICE tip online, they aren't taking any calls.

Tied it to illegals getting paid under the table. Company near me has been doing it for years.

We shall see if something happens. No telling how long the list is.... .

If an employer uses veriforce to verify the information that the employee provided, how is it the employers fault that the employee was using stolen identity?

A friend of mine owns a large blue collar staffing business. They screen for illegals. All of last year their business had been in decline because they have to compete against the new illegal aliens coming across the border. However, in the last few weeks their business has turned around. He said a lot of companies are getting nervous about employing illegals and started using his company again.

Did the employer ask for a govt issued photo id, a copy of SS card, green card, visa, etc. Or just went with a veriforce approval with no other identification documents?

Employers are required to file I-9 certificates certifying their employees are here legally. Perhaps there is a mitigating circumstance if the employee is committing fraud, but there are also insurance policies employers can purchase to cover those instances
