This reminds me of the year so many experts called Duke one of the best ever, but the underdog Connecticut beat them in the championship game.

My favorite moment in LSU basketball history (as “unstoried” as that has been for most of my adult life) was sitting in a sports bar in Missoula, MT in 2006, with the giantest of all douchebag Dook fans (they come out of the woodwork no matter where you are) at the next table taunting and doing their Dook things. Only to have to sneak out of the bar in shame after the game.
And yes it’s sad that that’s my favorite moment, but I take what i can get.

I thought Duke was manhandled in the paint without getting any calls, especially in the last 10 minutes. Refs let them play and Houston was more physical because no fouls were called. Hence the comeback.
