Thats a quality number for just total pitches for a starter on most nights.
Holy shite what a performance

Dude was phenomenal.
Honestly that’s a performance that can spark the whole pitching staff.
Really happy for the kid.

He was fantastic! Fun to watch him just chew through that lineup

Watching him hit his spots the way he was with his breaking stuff in innings 7-9 was the best. Peppering the lower part of the zone over and over. was so good.

I lets you know how important it is to get ahead in the count early and to keep on throwing strikes. I hate it when the guys get ahead 0-2 and start throwing waste pitches, all of the sudden it's 3-2 and the pressure is on to have to throw a strike and some kids fold. Their pitch count goes up and then it's hard to stay in a rhythm of throwing strikes.

He actually threw more. The ump missed a few.

He also got up a lot late and threw a lot of purposeful balls in 0-2/1-2 counts. Command was off the charts

He went 3-0 on the first hitter of the 8th and I would've bet good money it was the last hitter he would face.

Same. I think that was the guy who hit back to Anderson for the throw out at first. I figured it was Cowan time at that point.

Anderson has such great command. Knowing he can find edges of the strike zone with both his fastball and offspeed pitches at will when he needs to allows him to be more effective with waste pitches.

Reminds me of a young Tom Glavine

14 strikeouts, and most of them came at just the right moment, when the pressure was on. that's the big takeaway for me. He's gonna be ready for the postseason.

And he out dueled a top 20 MLB pick. He was completely locked in last night

My favorite part was Casan being first guy out of the dugout to greet Kade after last out. Fired me up seeing him fired up

He was still making quality pitches in the 9th, gutsy performance.

Damn. Seemed he struggled a big the first inning with strikes. He must have settled in after that.
