Same here. 
That one will always stick with me. It certainly helped the joke that it came at a time when Boise St was on a roll in football and had everyone talking about their blue field.

Rereading that article is a good time. The Roman Colosseum quote. "Turfus and Sons, a subsidiary of Vandalay Industries" was a nice touch in 2009.
