I can’t think of another relief/closer to come in and make such an impact in lsu baseball! He’s the most consistent I’ve ever seen!

I thought he had blackmail on Jay for the first 2 1/2 years of his college career. It was one of the most puzzling things seeing Jay stick with him even when he was playing awful. He figured things out when we needed him most and became a hero. Sometimes it works that way, sometimes it doesn’t.

Coopers 2023 season was amazing. He didn’t finish a meaningful game
all season, then became a lock down closer in the postseason. All season long he couldn’t throw a strike with the microscopic strike zone of the SEC umpires. With the larger strike zone in the postseason, all of his pitches that just missed all season suddenly were strikes
