I have yet to see City of God but I hear nothing but good things about this Brazilian foreign film. I will be renting this movie very soon.

Brotherhood of the Wolf is the absolute worst movie that Ive ever watched in my life.

Second 7 Samurai, City of God.

Don't quite agree with Battle of Algiers or the bound to be mentioned Bicycle Thief (both were good, but not the classics I think they're made out to be).

Will add Ran, Amelie, Cinema Paradiso, Man on Wire (sort of foreign), Grave of Fireflies.

I heard Amelie was terribly overrated and really not that good. Thats what has been keeping me from watching it.

Das Boot = greatest war movie ever IMO

Joyeux Noel = beautiful Christmas movie.
