Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says the quiet part out loud. The resistance to Elon Musk’s DOGE in DC is because lobbyists want our tax money “to keep flowing into their pockets”

“I am completely aligned with what Elon's doing”

Scott Bessent says if you don’t move as quickly as Elon Musk is moving, the lobbyist will stop DOGE

“Everyone says, do you have to do it so fast? Like I said, I've only been in this business for 7 weeks. I've only been in DC for 8 weeks. The thing I can tell you is if you don't move fast, the vested interest will weigh you down — Everybody's got lobbyists, I mean think about it, within a 10 mile radius of here, 25% of the GDP of the US pulsates through here every day. And everybody wants to just skim a little.”

“I said to Elon, people are mad at you because you're moving their cheese. It's not their cheese, it's the American people's cheese. 100%. Every dollar spent goes into someone's pocket and that person's going to fight tooth and nail to get that dollar to keep flowing into their pockets”

“There is no winning in Elon's role. Every single time he takes action, there are people that are going to come after him”

As was Lutnick

If they can pull off what they claim to be doing it will be incredible

Very intelligent man. Understands the vital role of DOGE and is 100% on board with it.

I think I'll listen to him rather than the handful of self-proclaimed geniuses on here who don't really have a clue.

For any conservative concerned about DOGE making "mistakes," there is the reason. It's better to make a few mistakes that are easily corrected than to be completely bogged down.

98% of Booz Allen revenue is from government. No value added.

No, it's God's honest truth. You, and all your liberal buddies, either lie thru your teeth or are just dumb as hell.

Maybe you are on the take, too?!

I just can't understand a sane person not wanting a full accounting for where all of our taxes are being spent.

Who knows, maybe eliminating all of the theft, corruption and off the books nation building and social engineering might make some money available for some of the pet projects you desire.

I’ve been trying to come up with a sports analogy. It isn’t just a new staff coming in to fix a perennial loser.

It’s more like new management walking into an NFL practice facility to find the coaches and players cooking meth in the locker room and shooting footballs up each other asses, and the new front office has to get in and start with cleaning house and finding people who actually know how/want to play football.

When are they planning to start? After September at the earliest, but eventually, right? Right?

I’ll never understand why you liberals enjoy being taken advantage of. Everyone should celebrate the elimination of fraud, waste, and abuse.

Efficiency and transparency in government is good whether you are conservative and think the money should be used to pay down debt or lower taxes or if you are liberal and think the money should go to legitimate programs.

Blindly supporting corruption makes you implicit in the corruption.
