Betting screens in Las Vegas casinos have LSU-Clemson with a noon PST kickoff.

They have various other games that day at DIFFERENT kickoff times, so that makes me think they've been told the times already.

I was hoping for a night game so me and my son could make the drive down from Virginia Beach. Early or mid-afternoon rules that out for us. I hope this is wrong and it's a night game.

He's in Vegas now and just called and told me.

Other than Notre Dame @ Miami, which is Sunday, they haven’t released any game times. That’s the second hottest game to Texas @ Ohio State. It won’t be a noon kickoff.

Edited: I see that you said PST. Yeah, it’s likely a 2:30 game. What prohibits you from driving down the day before / at least spending the night somewhere closer to Clemson?

I would think if Fox has the first crack, they take osu Texas for noon and espn/abc takes lsu Clemson in prime time

My son doesn't want to use 2 personal days from work-just 1.

I'm good, but I don't want to go without him.

Agree. Big noon kickoff is Fox’s marquee time slot. Good chance your scenario is correct.

Like I said, they have different times for each game that day up on the board. That makes me think that they know something. If all the games had the same time, I wouldn't have posted anything.

Am I wrong in believing "prime time" means a night game?

think that they know something.

They don’t know anymore than you or me. Time is only on there bc they need to have something and it means nothing at this point. TV geberaly lets the public know pretty early.

Whatever the ACC media contract determines is what it will be.

I still feel it will be a Noon, EDT kickoff.

First crack at what? Both networks can schedule their games in prime time. It doesn’t matter what the other is doing

Tell your son personal days are replaceable

Don’t think they’ve announced it yet. Probably wait til it gets closer to game time

I hear you. We usually go to the LSU kickoff game every year.

But we're definitely going to the Vanderbilt game, so if we don't go to Clemson we'll at least go there.

I hope you're right, I want it at night, but I would think if they didn't know anything, every game up on their betting board would have the same time. Most likely noon until the time is official. But they don't. They each have a specific time.

The fact is, no official announcement has been made, so it still could be prime time.

I hope it’s at 12. It’s gonna be over by halftime. 27-3 LSU up at half.

Stands empty out and we’re running the backups by the start of the fourth quarter

Seriously, why would any LSU fan WANT it to be at night? Considering how they have looked in openers lately we need every advantage we can get. The team winning is all that matters. Your tailgate time means nothing. You can celebrate the win after the early kickoff too.

The drive from Virginia Beach to Clemson is 7.5 hrs (8.5) with stopping to eat, bathroom breaks, etc...).

The only way we can go is with a night kickoff. That's the only reason we're hoping for a night game. I agree with you though. I just want us to win an opener finally. We've gone to Vegas and Pasadena and come back disappointed.

For a road game LSU is better off playing a day game, not a night game. Just the opposite for a home game. Look at history.

Do we know if fox has the first broadcasting rights to the UT/Ohio state game?
