Declining an NIT bid might be the most embarrassing part of a pathetic MBB season

Getting our arse kicked repeatedly sucked, but turning down the opportunity to compete? That’s just fricking sad. Most of these seniors will never play competitive basketball again and we’re turning down one last game for them because we’re scared of losing. Just let the walk-ons play if we truly have all these “injuries”.

We are limping in to the tournament after grinding it out against the best conference in the history of the sport. The guys have deserved some rest and gear up for another tournament run for next year.

Bruh it's the NIT they just gave it to the two worst teams in the SEC. It wasn't earned. They were just the last two left. No one wants to watch this team lose any more.

How many will be on this team next year? Also, for the seniors, they would have one last chance to win at home. Very sad.

I absolutely do. Programs more concerned with managing perception than doing things the right way.

If you only have 7 or 8 guys available, you really don't have enough to start a tournament. They only had 9 guys available in their last game, including Boyde.
