In Baton Rouge, the eclipse will be at its apex early Friday morning from 12:09 a.m. to 1:31 a.m., but the eclipse can be partially seen starting at 10:57 p.m. on Thursday.

It’s going to be cloudy which will be a shame. Last April, my wife and I too our kids to Texas to watch the total solar eclipse. It was the first time I’ve ever experienced totality and I have to admit I went full nerd mode. It legitimately went from afternoon to 9:00pm at night and stars came out. Those few minutes were almost spiritual and so surreal.

Lunar eclipses are cool too but nowhere near the level of a total solar eclipse. I’ll never forget that moment for as long as I live.

I watched that one with family and the local classic rock station played Pink Floyd in perfect timing.

Worm Blood Moon

It’s the worm moon bc it symbolizes the earthworms coming from frost…winter to spring.

Beautiful already.

At the time that song came out, I was a teenager and was too busy beating off to realize just how well Bonnie Tyler can sing!

I think your times are off. 1:58 is peak time for CDT.

If it's not a total eclipse of the heart, then it's just not worth my time.
