It is now clear that the Bidenomics economy that Biden built on letting 15 million illegal aliens into the country then giving them EBT cards and free housing along with SBA loans is crumbling. I am just glad it is crashing now so Biden properly gets the blame.

Because that's what's important, right?

I think the economy not crashing is more important.

Actually, Trump is crashing the economy with unemployment, inflation, tariffs and instability.

They will try but will be unsuccessful. It's to close to the last administration. Trump had to come in and clean up this gigantic mess Bidenomics has left.

If Biden's admin was still in office you could bet your unborn child that Powell would have lowered 100 bips since January 1st to artificially help the Dems out. Powell is a globalist POS and is Trump's biggest hurdle and thorn in his side. I honestly don't know if Trump can overcome Powell without putting us in a depression and burning it all down.

The economy needs to correct itself. No more government spending on bullshite! There needs to be some pain, or else we'll be knee deep in it forever

I’ve lost a lot of money in the market since Trump was sworn in. Prices also haven’t gone down. This short term “pain” needs to be over soon.

It doesn't have to crash for that to happen.

If the economy is reliant on government spending and employees to stay afloat, then we don't really have an economy at all. We simply have a mechanism of stripping citizens of their wealth to redistribute.

This is a correction that has been long overdue. Short term discomfort for long term stability.

Well that's not possible because actions have consequences and when the consequences come home to roost for the last 4 years of action it will not be pretty. We all know Trump will be blamed despite it being Biden and current Congress that allowed it to happen.

Hence the title of the thread.

This administration is starting it's 7th week. You've lost a lot of money? Did you panic sell all your positions? If not, you haven't "lost" anything. If you did, you're an idiot.

The market has not crashed. It only down 2%. In the 80"s it took a 20% hit and then corrected itself after Carter.

Mexicans with food stamp cards definitely has more to do with the current state of the economy than the uncertainty Trump has created within so many markets. Markets actually love uncertainty, and it's excited and keeps them on their toes!

Its more than that and you know it. If people THINK Trump is the cause, they will be more hesitant/resistant to give 100% on any ideas he puts forward.

The economy should naturally ebb and flow. When you adopt long-term destructive policies to try to subvert that natural process in order to achieve political ends, you risk driving the entire economy off a cliff to avoid potholes.

To mix metaphors, we are way out on a limb and have to get back on solid footing and meaningfull change is going to be uncomfortable, but it has to happen or we're going to be in really deep shite.
