Ugh, sounds like Trump is going to tariff American farmers for selling their stuff outside the US...?

This is actually great news. Farmers don't make shite shipping things around the world. It's too expensive. Since incoming farm products will be tariffed, then that makes the demand in America much greater for the farmers which they will make a shitload more money

No it doesn’t. It may be what you want, but that’s not it.

I’m in the ag industry and this is a tariff on imported ag products.

He is increasing the Food Supply in the US to bring down Food Prices. Since Joe Biden let 15 million illegals in which caused massive inflation secondary to increase in Food Demand

He's saying to farmers get ready to sell INSIDE the US and that tariffs will be placed on external product. I.E. He's going to tariff the farmers exports if they decide to export instead.

If they didn't make money then they wouldn't do it, hence no reason to penalize them to stop them from doing it.

Do you even think?

Trump loves free trade, but he doesn’t like us getting undercut and ripped by other countries via trade.

Will this help in stripping some of the subsidies paid to the biggest welfare queens in the country?

Honestly, from that jumbled mess of a tweet he made it is really anyone's guess what he means.

Ya, except that makes no sense.

If farmers are exporting their products, they are doing it because that is how they are making more money for their product.

I mean farmers sell to say a rice mill .. in their home state. They’re not selling to another country. Now .. the mill might but the farmer does not.

Correct.

Correct. External products are imports.

Nah. This is contrary to your first statement.

By definition tariffs are taxes on imports. Imports are external products.

I admit the way Trump wrote his social media post is a bit confusing.
