It's clear reading the board what most here think of Ukraine. With Trump softening his position on Russia...what in your mind would be an acceptable outcome to end he war, ie, how much do you give to Russia - and what line do you draw in terms of further Russian advancement (either in Ukraine or other parts of Eastern Europe?)

Who's giving what to Russia?
Russia is taking what they want.
Anyway... real question- why not let the people in occupied territories vote whether they want to be Russian or Ukrainian? I think I read that there are such places where the inhabitants consider themselves more Russian than not.

Trump is simply trying to stop antagonizing Russia so they will stop attacking Ukraine
NATO is USA
So if USA backs off, Russia is likely to cease fire and come to the table

You don’t give shitt to either side. From US standpoint you enact pressures on Ukraine to end while clawing back money through various ways. As for Russia nato needs to back the phuck up, Russia World has long since faded away and future alliances with all needs to be a thing

Do big mineral deal with Russia and guarantee no more encroachment and they keep the part they want of Ukraine and all hostilities cease
And lift sanctions
Screw Ukraine e and screw Europe I'm done with them

I will bite.
At the beginning of negotiations i take 3 things OFF the table.
1) Ukraine will never be a member of NATO.
2) Russian will keep some portion of the Donbas and Crimea regions and, hopefully, return some amount of Ukranian land.
3) U.S. troops will not fight the war on behalf of the Ukranian people nor will the U.S. provide material assistance that enables a stalemate and continued death.
Economic deals and partnerships need to be worked that ensure the value of peace is greater to all parties, including Russia, than the value of war. The West needs to view this as an opportunity to strengthen economic ties and form an ongoing peaceful relationship with Russia and to drive a wedge between them and China/BRICS. Doubtful the West can bring them under our sphere of influence but need to make this a workable relationship for the good of the world.

I’ve noticed a lot of lefties thinking it’s possible that Ukraine will regain territory they already lost.
These people don’t live in reality.

Trump doesn't have to give anything to Russia to end the war. He just has to stop 100% funding and deliveries to Ukraine. If Z wanted peace, Trump would get it done. Z doesn't want peace. Made it very clear.

I'm just curious...how much do you let Russia take - let's say the US backs away from it all, Europe isn't strong enough, and Russia takes all of Ukraine...(because despite what some of yall think, I think that is exactly what Putin will do). My question, is where is the line...does it stop with Ukraine or does the US let Russia run back into Eastern Europe?

I should probably edit my original title...I realise the US isn't giving anything to Russia, the better way for me to have stated it is how much do you stand back and let Russia take...

Whatever they are willing to bleed for. Not our problem.

Doubt that happens, but again- not our monkey, not our circus.

edit** when it is in our tent.
When it touches US soil... or threatens to touch, really. And that is not going to happen.

Cease fire.
Back to pre invasion borders.
"Pro-russia" eastern Ukraine provinces will be under joint governance for 4 years, with election to follow to decide whether annexed by Russia or stays Ukraine.
50% of seized/frozen Russian assets to pay for Ukraine reconstruction.
Ukraine signs rare earth's deal with US

An acceptable outcome is to end the war, and end the the horrifying death and destruction. Sons and fathers are dying in this pointless conflict by the minute
I'm not going to upgrade this to a nuclear war over a port in Ukraine, or some shite land in Eastern Ukraine. sorry.

Those border areas of Eastern Ukraine did hold a vote and they wanted to return to Russia. Zelinsky's deep state handlers were not down with this, so they allowed the proliferation of US department of defense funded biolabs to pop up all over Ukraine. They let NATO advance on Russia's borders despite assurances to the contrary.
It's worth mentioning, that some of these biolabs were working on pathogenic agents that would target specific DNA lines that were common among the people's of Western Russia. There were literally targeting Caucasian bloodlines.

We need to withdraw the United States from NATO.
