Ranked as the No. 17 player in Louisiana by 247 Sports.

Hasn't heard from the Tigers in a while...say they're his dream school.

Played against some tough defenses: Central (Central and Karr had the best defenses in the state)...LCA lost at Central, 31-22.

Rummel (lost 42-35...most points the Raiders gave up outside of the Karr loss)

Also played state champ Archbishop Shaw, Carencro, Westgate, Notre Dame (twice), Dunham

Interesting offer list so far. Chance to improve his stock this year.

I mean this is pretty awesome

Sage Ryan leads in total receptions and total receiving yardage but never had a 1,000-yard receiving season in high school.

Odd fun fact

Sage also started as an 8th grader. My son was a senior on that team, he did not see the field much but he loved playing for Coach Faulk (and for Coach Landry before that). That was the 2016 season. LCA went on to win 4 straight championships from 2017-2020. Sage was on every single one of those teams. Sage is a spectacular athlete regardless of how anyone may judge his time at LSU.

Clean, this kid is being criminally under recruited. Has nice size, runs advanced routes for a HS kid, and has tested well. Could be a Tre Harris / Lyren Lacy type situation where he shows out and vaults into a top P5 WR.

He also has great hands already. One of the kids already in HS who, when he drops any pass, people don't get mad, they just find it almost impossible to believe.

I'd broaden that to the Acadiana area. Opelousas, Carencro, New Iberia, and so on have spawned a few really good receivers at the college level and even in the NFL.

Just think that Comeaux had Tre Harris and Malik Nabers on the same team. That's ridiculous.

And they were running the flexbone with Harris at QB.

Looking forward to seeing what coach Dotson does at Acadiana.

Also hope to land the assignment again this season for Opelousas Catholic picture day. Would like to write something on WR Roderick Tezeno.

Me too. I remember Acadiana losing to Central when he was the head coach there back in 2008 I believe. I don't think he's a bad coach. He has more experience than McCullough had when he took the job, he just needs to keep the wheels greased instead of changing anything.

I feel people are sleeping on Acadiana and overstating the potential impact of personnel changes. They could have a real X Factor this season in Travis Gallien: WR/Edge

A couple of things I noticed.

Huge arse arms/wingspan for 6'0.

Acceleration out of breaks and after catching the ball.

Can go up and get it.
