I agree with him that the Marvel tank seems to be running out of gas.

I think we're getting to the point soon where we have so many great female characters that those are just our heroes as opposed to when are they all female, all male. It's just the Marvel heroes, more than half of which will be women."

Running? It's been empty for a while now. They've been pushing it to the nearest gas station and struggling to gain any ground.

Ignorance must truly be bliss. Deadpool vs Wolverine just made close to $1.4 Billion

Which had nothing to do with the MCU model. That was success by association. That's an example of Faigie not being involved and watching success. But hey, you keep on spinning shite to fulfill your desires

Liefeld is one to talk. He's surviving off what other artists have done with a character he co-created.

He's not wrong, but Liefeld really has no room to talk. He's one of the most overrated artists out there, and has been for a long time.

Is this really the criticism you have of him? Just the fact that he created Deadpool IS enough to give credibility to his success, and comics is all about other people doing things with characters they didn't create. Plus he's the creator of quite a few popular characters besides Deadpool.

It's very weird to criticize someone for creating a character that has become tremendously successful. There are certainly many things to pile on Liefeld about, but this is not one of them.

Sorry I didn't delve into the abyss of his garbage art.

Joe Kelly and Gail Simone's writing along with Ryan Reynolds' portrayal is why people love Deadpool. When Liefeld drew him he was just another run of the mill bad guy to be forgotten about. Liefeld ripped off the look from Deathstroke as well.

Sorry but until deadpool is making less than a 200 million dollars or something like that marvel isnt dead.

Dead is below life support. You cant release the 2nd most successful movie of the year and be "dead"

Planet of the Apes and Jurassic World are still making movies and they didnt do nearly as well as Deadpool/Marvel.

What does your grading system look like if anything below the most successful movie of the year is dead? Good/Dead/Deader/Deadest/Most Dead?

They're not the juggernaut they once were, but this board is ridiculous saying it's dead. Spider-Man made 1.9 billion, DS just under 1 billion. GOTG3 and Black Panther made over 800 mil. If Marvel’s dead what do we call other studios that can only dream about these type of numbers?

That made money despite Disney/Marvel Studios and it took a megastar in Ryan Reynolds who had success with this character previously going to the mat and almost walking the project in order to keep Disney from putting their stupid hands in the deal.

Exactly. Its like they have no concept of what being dead actually looks like.

Deadpool like Spidey is a one off, a gimmick. It doesn’t reflect the MCU at all and has nothing to do with the continuity they’re trying to recreate. Pretending as if it’s some sign of the MCUs health is dishonest and or ignorant but you’re a shill so you couldn’t care less about being genuine.

this is just you doing mental gymnastics. you don't get to decide what counts and what doesn't...

by that logic someone could just say nothing counts EXCEPT Deadpool & Wolverine.

the level of mental gymnastics you will go to to support your stance just shows you aren't capable of objectively analyzing the situation.
