In all honesty, she had her moments, but she was smart enough to surround herself with Tim Conway and Harvey Korman who almost always brought the house down----------------and especially Conway who often had Korman and company having a hard time staying in character when sharing the stage.
Conway would often go off-script and adlib his lines and they had no clue what they were in for. The two "Elephant" routines immediately come to mind and his new dentist sketch with Korman was off the charts. I think Korman actually pissed his pants laughing at Conway's antics.

I agree, that bit was not that funny. However, I did love the Carol Burnette show back in the day. My parents used to watch it, but it was the whole cast collectively that made work.
