I'm super impressed with Jay Johnson. This is an entirely different style of play this season with this team.

As there a real chance of him going to the MLB? I haven't heard anything, but I fell like he has to have been getting calls.

MLB doesn’t hire college coaches to be head coaches. It just doesn’t happen. And by the way, Johnson’s salary is higher than 18 MLB managers.

Thought this thread was going to be about wanting him to wear a camera all game so we could see the game from his perspective.

He said when he got hired he wouldn't leave LSU, even if the NY Yankees came calling. Take that fwiw

Is there a way a coach could go from college to pro then work their way back up the ranks, or it just doesn't happen at all?

Jay Johnson said quote, "Even if the The New York Yankees called me, I'm not leaving LSU".

I mean, technically once in 50 years or so isn’t never, but I’d bet on no.

They really don’t. Even Murphy went into a bench coach role and waited around until Counsel left.

College baseball isn't like college football.

Was he also under investigation that caused him to resign from ASU to begin with?

I saw an interview that Skip gave and he was asked about going to the pros. He said he was offered a job but it would have been in the minors.
