I think one of the funniest examples was removing the statue of Lewis, Clark, and Sacagawea in front of the Natural Museum of History in NYC. She was behind them and "submissively standing".

Many suffragettes found the stance offensive and it was removed.

I often wondered if these women realize they removed a statue of the first female, the first native american, to vote in federal elections over a hundred years before the 19th amendment was passed.

The Voyage of Discovery was a military operation paid for by the federal government. And major decisions on which way to go were a democratic vote including Sacagawea (which by the way York a slave also had a vote).

A classic example of "throwing the baby out with the bathwater".
