The Scofflaw

Trump said that at CPAC... Said the 100B from the EU to them was a loan, but the 300B from the US was a gift and that stupid Joe Biden screwed the US.

It SHOULD have been framed as a loan, and we SHOULD have required "collateral."

It wasn't, and we didn't.

Childish to pretend otherwise.

Going forward, I agree. But changing previous agreements is pretty fricking shady.

Why would they agree to pay back monies that they knew was being kicked back to evil politicians?

It had to be structured as a grant for motherfrickers to get paid, no wut im sayin'!

Let Darth Vader take this one: "I am altering the deal. Pray I don't alter it further!"

And what are we going to do about it, all the deals we’ve floated him were “you pay us this much, oh and we aren’t given you any more aid”.

So the whole “we’ll just let them get conquered” argument is stupidly dumb as that’s already what the agreement is. Ie we have no leverage for them to pay the US back even if it was actually owed.

Trump proposed loans, even forgivable loans.

He's being dishonest.

It's almost like Ukraine never had any intention of paying us back.
