I’ve had a vacuum sealed pack of Rabideaux’s pork sausage in the fridge since January 30th. I don’t think that they put use by or expiration dates on their products. I’m seeing some mentions online that smoked sausage is supposed to keep for about two weeks, but nothing definitive. Keep or toss?

Smell test. But I don't mind a tasty cleanse every now and then.

Would always worries me is when they're within the fresh date and they're a little slimy sometimes. Doesn't smell bad but slimy which is weird for a cook.

Typically shelf life is 90 days from day of packaging… if the vacuum seal is not broken…you should be good

This. The expiration date labeled on packs of sausage is usually a couple of months

I don't freeze vaccuum packed smoked sausage and it last months in the ice box. You'll be fine.

I`ve noticed on some of the Best Stop Boudin in the grocery stores, that the date is missing. I always eat it, but sometimes wonder how long its been on the shelf or whatever. I don`t think their product sits too long in the coolers though.

I`ve seen sausage at a neighborhood WM that was two months out of date sitting on the shelf. I wouldn`t expect less.

I’ve bought sausage before that I found to be slimy when I got home. I think this happens when it starts to get old. I still ate it and it was fine.

As long as vacuum seal is holding tight, you’re good.

Smell test is a God given protection that should never be ignored.
